Cold cinnamon tea can be made easily in your refrigerator. The benefits are that cinnamon helps lower blood sugar.
Use about a 2 1/2 quart (about 2 liter) refrigerator juice container. Put about 2 teaspoons of powdered cinnamon in the bottom. Add 6 tea bags of your preferred tea. I mix black tea and green tea when I do this.
Fill the container with very hot tap water. Put the container into the refrigerator and let it cool to the refrigerator temperature. Probably takes about 4-5 hours to cool.
Pour yourself some good tasting tea and add artificial sweetener. The beneficial compounds of the cinnamon are water soluble; the non-beneficial compounds are oil soluble.
Also, if you want, you can add about 1/2 teaspoon of powdered cloves to the brew at the beginning.
